This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The rest of this page explains what that means precisely, and what would have to change before it stopped being true.

1. The short version

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising or conversion tags, no social widgets, no session tracking and no third-party scripts of any kind. There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.

2. What this site does use

The pages are static files. Fonts, styles, images and one small script are served from this domain and cached by your browser in the ordinary way — browser caching is not a cookie and identifies nobody.

The two forms send what you type, when you press the button, to our own endpoint on this domain, which forwards it to us by email. Nothing is stored in your browser and nothing is written back to your device.

3. Our host

The site is hosted on a content delivery network, which records ordinary server logs — IP address, time, page requested, browser type — to serve pages and to defend against abuse. A network of this kind may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it challenges traffic it judges to be automated. We do not configure such a challenge and most visitors will never see one. 4. Other Parallax systems

This policy covers this website only. The scheduling and interview systems used by research participants are separate services with their own notices, which are provided at the point you are invited to use them.

5. If this changes

If we ever add analytics or any other non-essential technology, we will update this page before doing so and ask for your consent where consent is required. We will not quietly begin measuring visitors and describe it afterwards.

6. Controlling cookies

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, and blocking them will not affect anything on this site. Browser vendors document the setting for their own products.
